Our Story

Rooted in Kenyan soil, raised to global standards.

Ijenge — Swahili for "to build" — is exactly what we do, season after season. We build partnerships between smallholder farmers and international buyers, engineering a supply chain that treats quality as a non-negotiable and traceability as a promise.

From our cultivation blocks in the fertile highlands to our grading and pack-house operations, every avocado and every sprig of herb passes through the hands of people who understand what export-grade really means.

Field Notes
"Altitude is our advantage. Cooler nights thicken the skin, deepen the oil content, and extend the shelf life of every fruit we ship."

On the Branch

Harvested by hand, at the moment the fruit is ready.

Our pickers read dry-matter content the old way — by feel, by colour, by season. It's a discipline that machines can't replicate, and it's the reason our fruit travels well and ripens evenly at destination.

Fresh Herbs & Produce

Hand-cut, cold-packed, flown the same week.

A tightly-curated selection of fresh culinary herbs and peppers, harvested at peak freshness and packed within hours. Grown alongside our orchards under the same integrity standards.

The Terroir

Why growing here produces better fruit.

Kenya's equatorial highlands combine volcanic soils, predictable rainfall, and a consistent day-night temperature swing. The result is slower-matured, denser, longer-travelling produce — an advantage built into the land itself.

Equatorial Altitude

Orchards between 1,800 and 2,300 metres slow fruit maturation, concentrating oils and flavour.
